the dark reminded me of 'we didn't start the fire' as soon as it started. the rest sounds like bruce.

this whole thing is kinda shocking. i guess i didn't have high expectations, especially after the first two singles, but this is great. it's much more upbeat than I was expecting. i thought at this point if EV was gonna write punk songs it was gonna be "can't deny me"-ish. this stuff is awesome to be honest. it's pretty clear its EV solo too, this doesn't sound like a pearl jam record.

stevie wonder's solo is obviously the best part of the record, but from the first song i thought this was way better than i expected. it flows well. the production is def shinier, but i think it works for the most part. EV's influences are pretty obvious, but not in an overbearing kind of way.

the last song kinda reminded me of radiohead. i'm pretty happy with what i just heard. this watt guy is a good thing.

I had no desire to listen to this and kind of forgot about it until I checked in here and saw you guys seemed to be liking it.
So I listened and...Fuck me its good!

First PJ now Eddie. Maybe PJ will drop something new again sooner rather than later but no matter what I'm really digging this album.

Nobody can scream or deliver those verses like prince. Nobody. The way he did it was a complete "yea, im not even going to try" and he shouldnt. He handled it well.

I think it'll be fine, it'll be the songs that matter

it was the ridiculous "I know yeeaaaaI knooooow" screamy yelpy shit that just sounded like a bad drunk Prince impression; I dunno, Ed sounded like he knew the boots he was filling, Josh was doing karaoke

it was great in the parts Ed was singing, and I was highly sceptical going in; basically I was expecting Josh's carry on from Ed, but he was better
