That was a lot. Basically an unrelenting info dump with an often overbearing score. I've no doubt that a second viewing would do wonders for my opinion of this film, but I can't see myself doing that anytime soon, so for now the best I can do is "pretty good". And I usually love Nolan!

Killers of the Flower Moon SHOULD nuke this come awards season. They're not even in the same league.
I liked Oppie much more the second time watching. I think it's a brilliant small artsy story told on a massive scale only the way Nolan could have. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you pay close attention and manage to follow everything it is very impressive and quite enjoyable.

Nice. I also loved it.

Have you seen/enjoyed her other films?

2022 film?

I liked the look of it as well, and added it to my to watch list a few days ago.
I'm going with 2023, just so I can include it in my year end list.
Showing Up premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 27, 2022, where it was nominated for the Palme d'Or. The film was released theatrically in the United States by A24 on April 7, 2023.

Oh, I watched it while rimming and checking football scores. My mistake.

(Yes I was paying attention, but good tip!)

I didn't mean to insult anyone. I found it very hard to follow closely until second viewing with subtitles.

I always go for the official year listed (rotten tomatoes / imdb etc.), so it’s on my list for 2022.

It was also shown at the New York film festival in 2022.

Takes a lot more to offend me. You're fine.

I am impressed by how many of you rewatched this so soon after your first viewing. Dedicated film nerdz.

I watched it three times so far. I have a lot of time to kill at work and the movie blew me away. It's probably the most dense movie I've ever seen, and it feels so vital.

I go back and forth on this. I think ultimately if I watched the film as part of a festival, I count it for the festival year. But if I watched it in wide release like most everyone else, I count it for the wide release.

I think I watched it years ago in my early teens and got bored with it, this time round it was much better

Have you seen Michael Mann's Thief? That's absolutely worth a watch.

I have not. I'll keep an eye out for that

Michael Mann rarely disappoints. Looking forward to the wide release of Ferrari.

Watching Silverado on Netflix. So far, so good. It's a little cheesy, but that's ok in a Western. It's got a killer cast.

Brian Dennehy is huge!
