They did an update that made the KO's a lot more realistic. The submission system is really, really, hard. I've tapped someone I think 3 times in all this time playing it.

Figures after I trade it in.. it's funny because that WWE game I traded is now free on gold, wish it was the other way around

Are you playing '16? In my experience bumping up their awareness pays crazy dividends and you'll get some great blocking. My O-line is all 90+ awareness and they lock guys up on screens and gap runs like nobody's business.

But it allows you to hit a button when immediately wrapped up to possibly break the tackle

I have actually really enjoyed '16 quite a bit. The player progression is no longer ludicrous, so you can't just get guys to be a 99 in two years like some of the old games. I've been grinding this 5th round CB for two years and he's finally getting good enough to start and rack up picks and it's so satisfying. But I'm a ridiculous football nerd so take all this with a grain of salt.

Titanfall 2 second beta is live, and the changes have already helped considerably. The addition of a titan meter makes it much easier to know when you're getting your titan, and the "titan battles balancing" they implemented -- I'm not sure on specifics -- have helped me last much longer in my titan, I think. Now if they can just clean up the HUD for the titan portions of play, the two parts (pilot and titan) should feel more even. I'm leaning towards a purchase...

Played Dishonored start to finish over the weekend and had a whale of a time, though the story was mediocre.

Now I've loaded up the Witcher 3, and mourn my free time. Only played a few hours so far, but enjoying it WAY more than Skyrim or Fallout.

Wind Waker is such a charming game. I'm really glad I decided to play the HD version after all these years since the original.

TP is my least favorite 3D Zelda by far.

Rainy holiday weekend here in Montana. I will likely be playing some battlefront, rocket league, and battlefield 1 beta in between other stuff.

Spent a couple hours with Battlefield 1 last night. I like it.

I've never played another Battlefield game, but this one is set during World War I, and the gameplay reflects that, for better or worse. What I mean is, your aim with a WWI-era machine gun isn't ridiculously good; it's authentically bad, which makes close/mid-range combat feel explosive and crazy, because there are no bullet sponges, nor is anyone getting killed immediately -- lots of bullets whiz by you, and there's a palpable sense of danger. But the downside is that the gameplay is heavily in favor of sniping, and I got picked off a lot from guys very far away.

The vehicle stuff is done really, really well. It's great fun being in a tank with six other guys (one driving, six in hull turret locations, plus one on a 360-degree turret on the top of the tank). The horse battles are fun too.

Controls are simple enough, and apart from a couple glitches (one time I climbed a wall and was immediately transported through a building to the other side), everything is smooth. Can't speak to the leveling-up and inventory options too much, 'coz the beta is pretty limited in this regard.

What the game gets right, it does very well. Clearing a small artillery reserve, building-by-building, while WWI-era explosions are happening around you, feels riveting. The things it gets wrong are pretty minor. Between this and Titanfall 2, I've got two games I'm excited to get into later this year, but I'll probably wind up picking just one.

Sounds fun and refreshing for a shooter. They need to stop having these betas when I'm out of town.

I've played a lot of BF3, BF4, and BFBC2. Out of those 3 I've liked BFBC2 the most, and BF1 reminds me a lot of BFBC2.
