Is Ed just creatively spent? I enjoyed his organ "Share the Light" from last year. I would love to hear more songs from that space.
It felt that way about a year ago. Now i believe them when they say they have no idea.bodysnatcher wrote:i feel like the band might be playing coy about all of this. i'm sure they are fully aware that the moment they start talking about working on a new album, or saying they are done, shit starts going crazy. i mean, even our pessimistic asses have written 195 pages about this.
yeah that was an interesting direction. would love to hear some new ed songs composed on the organ. something to break it up so it's not into the wild: port of call new orleans.Monkey_Driven wrote:Is Ed just creatively spent? Just a live thing he did at a couple of solo shows last fall. Tagged with Fugazi's "I'm So Tired".tragabigzanda wrote:what song is this? was it an official release or just a live thing?evenslow wrote:yeah that was an interesting direction. would love to hear some new ed songs composed on the organ. something to break it up so it's not into the wild: port of call new orleans.Monkey_Driven wrote:Is Ed just creatively spent? I DOUBT IT!!!!!!!!!
He needs to embrace the breaks in his voice instead of avoiding them.tragabigzanda wrote:oh yeah i remember now. it's good, i just wish he wasn't wailing so much. Even his mellow songs are delivered with too much gusto these days, i really wish he'd remember how to pull some punchesMonkey_Driven wrote:Just a live thing he did at a couple of solo shows last fall. i was thinking this exact same thing yesterday. Given To Fly popped up on a random playlist, and even though it's a BIG song, ed's delivery of the verses really stood out to me. it's like he's lost his way in creating that restrained drama that i really love in those middle records.tragabigzanda wrote:oh yeah i remember now. it's good, i just wish he wasn't wailing so much. When you’ve stared at beige for such a long, long time, the novel chaos of a light tan is truly exhaustingtheplatypus wrote:I don't know why anyone likes that organ thing. Is it just because it's on an organ? It's horrible

They stop now, lots of people are out of a job.verb_to_trust wrote:The only reason the band even pretends anymore is to keep their staff in a job.
