I'm finally giving Midsommar a watch.

Fantastic. Very unsettling.

Yes. Horror that could actually happen is more frightening than the zombie/ghost/vampire/possession stuff usually seen in theaters.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I liked it enough; but i don’t see it coming back to it in the future. While both Natalie and Julianne were great it was the guy who plays the husband I was really surprised with ; a very difficult character and he nails it.

It’s not a good movie at all. Esmail is obsessed with moving the camera all the time with no reason.

But the cast is alright and the ending was good.

I watched this last night and really enjoyed it. Was hoping that they'd land the ending given everythig that took place during the film, and I thought the ending was great

I did not like this movie. There is a fair bit of piss-poor dialogue that not even this cast can sell. A lot of the movie is illogical, and even more is tedious or downright annoying. there are good scenes, but they are few and far between and the movie wastes so much time.

I'm surprised you guys felt like they nailed the ending. The ending is basically the guy who has

known what is going on the whole time finally telling us what is going on, instead of in random dribs and drabs like throughout the rest of the movie. And then there's a little funny thing at the end. What am I supposed to think? Life in this bunker might be kind of fun for these people? I doubt it. Once insufferable Julia Roberts gets down there that bunker is going to be as miserable as every other room she walks into.

there is a good movie that occasionally shows itself in there somewhere. but this ain't it

these are all spoiled and insufferable people and the fact the kid is reading about the attack and the only thing she wants is to see Friends was somehow laughable to me and also kinda ring true about society in general

yeah, Esmail really fucked the movie up. Its like he was trying so hard to be noticed.
