Cat Person.

That was very interesting, very fun and sometimes funny too. It takes a turn but i really liked how it pushes everything and surprises you.

it's not that Midsommar is bad, it's just a derivative folk horror movie

it has a consistent creepy vibe throughout, like some evil spirit is lurking beneath the surface at all times, very well done.. similar to the shining in that way. i think i like it more than the shining too

The Shining is probably the most overrated horror movie ever

I prefer The Shining, but I think that's a good comparison.

Comparing Midsommar to The Shining really doesn't do the former any favors

I liked Midsommar. It's not like a favorite but it has a distinct atmosphere ("consistent creepy vibe throughout" is well put, tree), and I liked the ending

The Shinning is a masterpiece and Midsommar is alright.

Put me staunchly in the Bottoms-is-great camp. Hilarious one-liners throughout, great physical comedy. I love how the camera moves, its vivid colors, that climactic brawl set to Charli XCX's great music. The crazy tonal shifts! I think it's really cleverly written but also so many of the laughs for me came from Rachel Sennott's delivery. Extremely Gen Z humor but it really works most of the time. Big fan of this one

Marshawn Lynch is very funny. The sheltered christian girl was also pretty good.

I might take advantage of $5 movie night and see Wonka tonight. I was pretty skeptical, but it's getting good reviews and I like a lot of the cast.

Hideo Kojima seemed to love it. And he's basically a genius, so.

Actually it's not showing yet, so I won't be seeing it. I guess I misread the MJR website.
