I worded it poorly, what I meant was I can understand the idea of it in the regular season, but when your season is on the line you can't let your best reliever sit because it isn't a save situation. You have to get the lead before you worry about what to do when you have it.
Ah, ok. Agreed, then!

I could get in my car now and be at the World Series for a late lunch. So cool. Wish I had the money to go.

I have Royals fever. This Royals team is really getting in my head. I just designed a 3000-mile road trip culminating in beautiful Kansas City. And I am very excited about maybe someday doing it. Kansas City?

The royals are acting like they just won it all and this is the Pro Bowl. Giants in 4.

Royals in six. My dream would be to see Herrera, Davis, and Holland all win MVP.

I'm thinking giants in five, but I'm rooting hard for the royals.

I feel like I'm the only person in America outside of the Bay area who wants the Giants to win.

I really like the Giants, I'd like to see them pull off this bizarro dynasty.

Three World Series titles in a five year span is something I've only seen once in my time as a baseball fan. I've seen teams end title droughts of 88, 86, 56, and 38 years, so the Royals snapping a 29 year one doesn't get me pumped. The Giants winning is more exciting of an idea to me, even after I remove any personal preferences.

Hunter Pence looks like he should be a goofy character on HBO's Silicon Valley, playing on the Hooli company softball team.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the Giants win three titles in five seasons, they'll be the first National League team ever to do so.

The Red Sox did it in the 10s, the Yankees in the 30s/40s, 50s/60s, & 90s, & the A's in the 10s & 70s. But no one from the NL has ever done. Either way, those are some insanely legendary teams they'd be joining.

Good call. They did the same every other year thing.

So they wouldn't be the first NL team, but man is that some crazy good company.

I'm sure this is really premature, but the Royals not scoring right there seems like a huge moment to me. It's like the Giants just told them "Fuck your script. We're not playing along."

Steve Balboni would've been able to handle that high and outside stuff.

no doubt...he's thrown a great game but got away with a lot of pitches
