That's another thing, it was supposed to be funny right? But it really wasn't. There were no jokes. It just kind of vaguely gestured in the direction of humor

I feel like everyone was super duper indie drama serious until Pike was introduced, apparently for comic levity that the film didn't need (I was actually hoping for the movie to lean into psychological horror a lot more)

I was really interested in the homoeroticism and Keoghan's character's apparent bisexuality but it wasn't explored beyond "oh so edgy but really not at all" clichés: one slightly kinky (and actually kinda hot) sex scene between him and the other dude -- good chemistry there, I would happily watch that movie -- and period sex

Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse

This a rewatch for me and the first time for my six year old. It's still incredible. He loved it. Now onto the sequel.

Maestro was a huge swing for Cooper, and it's mostly pretty good. I was impressed by some moments, but overall it feels uneven. The acting was impressive, yet I often struggled to suspend my disbelief; ultimately they felt like actors playing characters and I couldn't buy in 100%. This could have been a great movie with a better director.

The sequel is really good. I cant wait to see how he delivers this book into the big screen. It goes back and forth between 1988 and the 2000 with a bit of 1996.

All the 90s stuff is right after the movie, yeah?
Yeah picks up just after the movie basically to tell what happens to Shiherlis and set up the next chapter of his life.

But everything in 88 is great too

Quite rough indeed.
I don't think I ever caught more than maybe 5 episodes of "Spin City"... But that part in the documentary hit hard.

BTW "Heat" is top shelf stuff.

Napoleon.

Its a very mixed bag, even with the running time it had, it felt there was much more out. I know there is a 4 hour cut, and it kinda makes sense.
I didnt liked the photography, it was very clean sometimes and mostly very cold. I didnt liked it.

There are some killer scenes tough, specially the Waterloo war scenes.

Maestro

Not bad but certainly hollow and lacking. I'm a bit disappointed overall.

God bless the genius Mulligan.
