I'm not as smart as you guys to fully understand why, but I simply did not enjoy it after that first stretch in the city. I was bored and frustrated and maybe I'm just not capable of liking a movie like this cause of my inferior intelligence or lack of self awareness or something.

I enjoyed Saltburn. Your reviews of it being stronger as an aesthetic experience and as a mood film than plot helped prep me.

I didn't agree with it as I wrote it, but I wanted to be provocative. I'm all for art that others love and I hate.

Matrix Resurrections is probably the most indulgent movie I can think of right now. Lana made that movie for Lana. I initially hated it because I wanted her to make that movie for me. But I've come to love that she didn't do that. Not everything is for me and there's so much stuff out there right now that that's ok. There's enough for me. I don't consider it an artist's failing if I don't like something, and I don't consider it my failing either.

I'm glad you love Beau. I hated it!

Loved it very much. Scorsese with a tight 90-minute dark comedy? He’s really struttin’ his stuff here. Talk about some exquisite shot composition and camera movement!

Why have I never heard of this Griffin Dunne guy before? He’s great.

Matrix Resurrections is probably the most indulgent movie I can think of right now. Lana made that movie for Lana. I initially hated it because I wanted her to make that movie for me. But I've come to love that she didn't do that. Not everything is for me and there's so much stuff out there right now that that's ok. There's enough for me. I don't consider it an artist's failing if I don't like something, and I don't consider it my failing either.
