None of us can definitively say what it is about. We are guessing. I just agree with a certain interpretation, that's all. Makes sense to me if he feels that way, right or wrong is a different thing.

this is a familiar, ugly, toxic trope. And it would be both wildly out of character and beyond petty if true. Obviously I cant say definitvely if it is or isnt.
considering the source, a male rock star who has been championing women's rights for his entire career, i think the tone of the message is a little bit different.
maybe this is about his brother's wife and he actually hates her? lol

Any time Eddie is angry from 2001-2009, I assume he wrote it about Bush. 2015-2022, let’s assume it’s about Trump, or some machination of another bad person…and Trump.

i almost don't care about the lyrics, this song is great. are these handclaps? the fuzzy guitar is awesome with the keys in the background. EV sounds great.

These lyrics are pretty darn vague and could be interpreted a million ways. People zeroing in on this cornel thing and now a discussion about ed being a mysognist or not now has me loving the song even more due to its vagueness.
