i had a hunch the royals would drop game one; it'll be interesting to see how they respond now.

Stat from game 2 per MLB.....

Game 2 drew MLB-record 49.7 local rating in Kansas City. 71% of TVs on in KC tuned to game throughout, peaking at 83% towards end.

Fire John Farrell and hire Joe Maddon.

This would be a good fit.

That probably would be a good fit, and I would enjoy seeing Farrell get fired two years into his Dream Job, but I feel like Maddon is going to end up with the Dodgers.

He would be a good fit for a team like the Mariners.

I know you would. I'd be overjoyed.

Does Maddon think someone is going to can their manager for him? It's a big risk if he legit wants to manage in 2015 and doesn't have something lined up already.

He'd actually be a really good hire for Toronto. I don't know why they are so enamored with Gibbons.

He can take a year off.

Sure, but the reports are saying he wants to manage next year. Why not just finish it out with the Rays? Maybe there are internal problems there that haven't surfaced. I mean I couldn't blame anyone for having problems with that ownership.

Maddon has a lot of leverage here. Lots of teams would want his services.

Dodgers and Braves make sense too.

No, they hired a president of baseball operations, John Coppolella will probably be the defacto GM running his ideas through John Hart.

Currently they still have Freddi Gonzalez in his managerial position, Maddon isn't coming here I don't think, but I would imagine he would be a much better manager than Freddi G.
