Had a quiet day today. I finally watched Jackie Brown and now I'm watching a Michael Caine movie called A Shock to the System.

Two thumbs up. Obviously a great story and dialogue. I really enjoyed the luxurious pacing and all of the performances (it's hard to even single one out - everyone was great). Sam Jackson's hair was really disgusting and it was fun seeing Robert Deniro play a schlubby loser. The ending was very satisfying. 5/5.

A movie that truly does the book justice.

I didn't realize it was an Elmore Leonard story until I saw the opening credits. He's got a pretty good track record for adaptaions. 3:10 to Yuma and Hombre are both favorites of mine and I recently watched and enjoyed Joe Kidd.
