I didn't get far. Fucking Obsidian.
Go play Call of Dooty.
I'd love to!

CoD is a game for dumb people. Don't be one of those people.

Have you watched any gameplay footage? Not interested?
I found CoD to be very twitchy. B-1's gameplay, while still fast, is slowed down enough that i can actually plan an attack and execute it, rather than just around maniacally.

The idea of the gameplay looks cool, I just have no faith in the devs because Battlefield consistently is too lacking in polish for my tastes.

Ah. Well, there were some graphical hiccups in the beta, if that's what you mean by "polish."
But if you're talking more about gameplay -- movement, aiming, button response, etc -- it feels very polished to me.
And if you're talking about the country of Poland, I don't think they had much bearing in WW I, though I could be wrong.

The Triforce Shards quest still sucks in the Wind Waker HD. Shorter than the original, but still clearly padding.

My eye was drawn to the monster before the logo and I thought, "Wow, that looks like a pretty blatant Stranger Things rip-off".
Also: LOL at The Last Guardian impressions. A PS2 game that plays like a PS2 game? Whoda thunk it.

Trailer for Battlefield 1's single-player campaign:
Very little gameplay footage, hopefully the enemy AI is great. I'm assuming you can level up in the campaign and have the effects carry over to multiplayer?
Anyway, I am excited for this and feel comfortable buying it and letting Titanfall 2 fall by the wayside.

Or don't play shooters.
or any first person game. Or 3rd person. Or all of them.
I haven't played video games consistently for a very long time now. But back when I did, I could only play 3rd person games. I hate 1st person games. I gave up on them back with Goldeneye.

I rarely come into this thread. So, my apologies if this has already been covered. But...
Are video games art?

Absolutely. But there's high art and low art. Last of Us Remastered is high art. A TMNT game/movie tie-in build on a pre-existing engine for another game is low art.

Interesting. I've never once thought of video games as art. In my mind they've always been... well, games. And thereby consumer entertainment. This is a really interesting idea that I'd like to think/discuss more about. I'm open to having my mind changed.
