The theaters are gonna be so insane when this comes out that I'll probably wind up waiting a few weeks to see it.
Wow, that sounds extreme. Luckily that level of annoyance is pretty rare where I am. Sometimes people will look at their phones (which is already obnoxious), but never will people actually make or take calls.dimejinky99 wrote:I kind of don't mind being in a theatre full of people actually excited for the same reason I am.
So the first week is OK to go..the weeks afterwards are when now casuals turn up and they're the ones you should avoid. Playing with their phones and being annoying generally.
We've developed an awful culture of that in cinemas here the past few years. People actually making and taking calls and not giving a single fuck about anyone else. It's so annoying.
I've never been at a movie where someone took a call.dimejinky99 wrote:I kind of don't mind being in a theatre full of people actually excited for the same reason I am.

People do that crap in this area. I first noticed it when I saw ROTS in the theater. A few of the newer / renovated theaters have it so you don't get service inside. the actual theatre.LoathedVermin72 wrote:that's insanedurdencommatyler wrote:It's pretty regular in NYC.Monkey_Driven wrote:I've never been at a movie where someone took a call.dimejinky99 wrote:I kind of don't mind being in a theatre full of people actually excited for the same reason I am.

I'm with you. I'm excited for this movie, but I'm not excited to go to a theater and watch it. Maybe I'll just wait until I can get it on TV.durdencommatyler wrote:I don't really download bootlegs of movies, but it's tempting for this one. I don't want to wait, I'm super excited for it, but there's no goddamn way I'm going anywhere near a theater in NYC to see this thing.
I used to love it, too.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I love going to the theater. Sucks you guys' areas are so shitty.
