I feel like Cripple Creek is the only one here that’s widely known
The only one I know from the title alone is The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.
I am guessing that if you made that a playlist, probably 75% of those would be either “oh yeah! I know this one…” or “they play that?”
Oh totally. I'm sure you're right.

Just putting out in the world that we are now 20 years since the completion of the “experiment.” I have mentioned this show numerous times around here since I had hit up MSG on 7/8 & 7/9, then this show 7/11 and Hershey 7/12. Can’t believe it’s been so long since that run. Probably the most fun week I have had as a Pearl Jam fan.

That was a fun week to be a fan, even from halfway across the country. I join you in astonishment at the passage of 20 years since this occasion.

Unless a ticket falls in my lap, or some day one of my kids say they want to go, I’m probably done seeing the band live.

Cost is big but venue too. I’d pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars to see them in a small venue but that’s almost certainly never going to be an option. Stadium/Arena doesn’t do much for me at this point having seen them so many times in that setting. The exception would be a festival if there’s other bands I’d want to see. I’m considering Ohana but mostly because The War on Drugs play the same day as Ed and I’ve never seen him solo.

tragabigzanda wrote:And I was thinking this but didn’t say it: Do a handful of arena show for every large geographic region. So like two nights at MSG, then several shows in the northeast at small clubs, charged at a premium. That should be the model.
But they’re pretty much at the point where “several shows” isn’t going to happen again.

I’m in pretty much the same boat. I wasn’t going to do this tour at all being as there aren’t really any shows that are close. Indianapolis is the closest. But then the Mrs suggested we have a free place to stay and we’d get to hang with some of her family, so we decided to do the two shows we’re going to. Anything after this tour, tho, is gonna have to be much less of a hassle if we’re gonna go to a show.

I came across this post on the grunge subreddit asking "if you had to lose one of the 4 big grunge bands, which would you pick?"
https://www.reddit.com/r/grunge/comment ... _four_who/

I had no idea that Pearl Jam was so widely disliked in the grunge fan community. The answers seemed to overwhelmingly pick them as the disposable one of the four.
