I'll be at the U2 show in Minneapolis on Friday. Beck is opening. I'm excited, it should be awesome. And I'm taking my daughter to her first show! Lucky kid.
We're seeing them in St. Louis. Taking our daughter as well. For a few months we've been going chronologically through the catalog... Rattle & Hum is her favorite time period, so this should work out nicely.
That's awesome, man! How old is your daughter?
13... She's seen plenty of good concerts with us and has great taste in music... Also a great musician. She taught me how to play One on the guitar just last week :-)

For sure! Just beware... At age 10, those teenage tendencies may sneak up on you in a few years. They sure as hell took us by surprise earlier this year.

I have two girls and a boy. Girls are 11 & 10, both with birthdays in October. I'm definitely aware that the teen years are coming soon. Not looking forward to the drama. My son will be eight in December, he doesn't worry me at all.

One of my father's greatest (and truest) quotes:

"When you have a little boy, you never stop worrying about him. When you have a little girl, you never stop worrying about her... and ALL boys!"

Completely lifeless. They really spent years on this album and this is their lead single?

Weakest U2 single ever.

I think most of their lead singles for their last half dozen albums have been weak. If anything, some have been my least favourite song on the album. e.g. that fucking Get on your boots song. Hated it.
