Iconic Rage Against The Machine concert will be released as a film

Rage Against the Machine hasn’t played a concert in over four years, but there’s a small new product arriving next month: a concert film.

Eagle Rock Entertainment announced Monday that Live At Finsbury Park, footage of the iconic free show that took place in London on June 6, 2010, would be released on Sept. 11 on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital platforms. In addition, extra footage and interviews will be released as well under the title, Behind The Scenes At Finsbury Park.

The performance came about after a successful campaign to push the band’s signature cut, “Killing in the Name,” to No. 1 on the UK song charts, ahead of a new X-Factor single. It ended up ruling the Christmas week charts and spurred the band to play the free show nearly six months later.

Setlist is below.

Testify
Bombtrack
People of the Sun
Know Your Enemy
Bulls on Parade
Township Rebellion
Bullet in the Head
White Riot
Guerrilla Radio
Sleep Now in the Fire
Freedom
Killing in the Name

This was already released as part of the 20 year anniversary box set of their debut album

This band. The singer did not die from heroin, yet Alice in Chains still far more productive.

1996 was a turbulent year for music. MC Hammer filed for bankruptcy, The Spice Girls debuted "Wannabe" and 9000 "delinquents" attended a Rage Against the Machine show in Spanish Fork, Utah, causing everyone to go batshit insane.

Exactly 18 years ago today, the residents of Spanish Fork were closing their stores early, fortifying their homes and literally bracing themselves for the teenage hordes that accompanied Rage, who were touring in support of their 1996 album, Evil Empire.

I don't get this. They quit RATM. A band can't be productive when it doesn't really exist anymore.

They keep popping up for tours. Why not cut an EP?

Why doesn't Zack de la Rocha record an album?

I mean, shit, we had to go through the entire Bush II Administration with nothin' but One Day as a Lion? How is that fair?

Been a while since they toured, but I agree. It could be argued that the world needs their message more than ever. I dont understand where Zack is and what he is doing other than some select guest appearances.

Easily a top-5 Rage song. Severely overlooked by most.
