Victory is a fucking great song.
I play it at darts all the time to get me pumped up.
If I was a fighter, Victory would be my entrance song.
It's all fucked up now.
We got the real live shit

But there's so much better blues out there. IMO, this is not where they excelled.

I mean, The Doors LA Woman blows away any of LZ's blues tracks.

For the most part, Zep was at their best when they stretched out from their more derivative beginnings. Page, JPJ and Bonham are three of the best musicians/arrangers of all time and are much more interesting in exploration mode. While their proficiency with the blues is obvious, it's also comparatively dull when viewed against stuff like Kashmir, Achilles, No Quarter, In the Light, Rain Song, Fool in the Rain, All My Love, etc.

Led Zeppelin are the band I avoided for the longest because of my adolescent distrust of the "sacred cows" of 70s rock. I was in my 20s when I finally listened beyond the radio hits and realized how good they were

I adore that skit, but I'm mostly just a fan of LA Woman.

I'll ride with you on L.A. Woman except for L'america and Crawling King Snake.

Hyacinth House is a personal fav.

Look, I can be down with saying that someone doesn't like the blues cover stuff like You Shook Me, or I Can't Quit You Baby. But Since I've Been Loving You Best not be included

Zeppelin Blues, along with Dylan Blues, is among my favorite Blues. It's actually most of the only Blues I enjoy.
