Say what you want. Pearl Jam is currently touring. 27 years later. That's awesome, I love it, I can deal with the bumps in the road.

Solid thread guys. One s/t song, one Backspacer song, two Lightning Bolt songs, one song from the forthcoming album. Seems about right. I guess they will keep the other new songs fresh until the album release.

That's not the greatest setlist, imo

Agreed. The first 10 songs were good. Man that Fixer > Eruption > Lightning Bolt > Can't Deny Me stretch must have been brutal if Can't Deny Me was as bad as people are saying.

Saw a video of can’t deny me and it sounded good. Hope they play it in Buenos Aires.

What video did you see? Because that song was awful.

Seriously. I love Ed, but he's gotta know his abilities here. Jesus

I don’t get what sounds so bad? He sounds pissed. I like it. Ed is better at rough and angry these days than he is at somber and melodic.

When he gets to the "chorus" or whatever you want to call it, it sounds so bad. And maybe i'm judging harshly because he is also trying to get everyone to shout along and pump their fists, it seems kind of... desperate?

The chorus doesn’t sound very good, but not in a way that’s dissimilar from a lot of weak live vocal performances I hear from other bands. But I think think he sounds surprisingly good in the verses.

The verses aren't completely terrible but that chorus is a wet fart. If a band of 15year olds pulled that out at a battle of the bands they'd lose.

Are you talking about the quality of the chorus itself, or the performance? I agree it’s not very inspiring compositionally.

Both. Apart from Ed there was little inspiration in that performance and Ed ran out of steam a minute in.

Ed sounds terrible in the "Can't Deny Me" chorus but surprisingly good in the verses.

I will also say that I find it very endearing that he puts in the effort to communicate with the audience in their native language. He does a pretty good job with Spanish.
