I always assumed this was some long running prank in Argentina.
Facebook sent a doctor on a secret mission to ask hospitals to share patient data
The Circle, man.
Sounds like we need to amend HIPPA to include "anonymized" data if this was ever in the realm of acceptable to release to dataminers like Facebook.

well...why pay billions of dollars for an intelligence gathering institution when you can have people pay for and do it themselves.
The authorities have....
all your family members
all your cell phone numbers
all your google searches
all your gps positions from your smart phone
all your political views
friends, relatives, places you lived/live
and that was from 1 "data breach" which covered almost half of all facebook users.
They are not holding back. We traded essential freedoms for security, in the aftermath of 9/11.
As such we deserve neither.

oh wait that's youtube.
Egypt's government is going to block youtube (the whole site) for one whole month following a 2012 anti-islam movie called THE INNOCENCE OF MUSLIMS.
Facebook getting rid of its trending/news section. It was basically an endless source of misery for anyone going to Facebook.

“Facebook is harmful to both users and democracy but if I quit then I will never know which of my high school friends is fatter than me” is the hill America will die on.
