Re: Mumford & Sons
I'm a fan. We'll see what they do in the future. A third album the same exact shade as the first two will sour me a bit. But I dig this folks.

Re: Mumford & Sons
last night was the 3rd time i have seen them live. i wont say they sucked, but they were sub par at best.
no energy. it felt like every song was a beat too slow. marcus looked wasted, stoned, or hungover.
show was under 2 hr, one very short encore.
i walked away significantly dissapointed with pretty high expectations after seeing them before. it felt like they mailed it in.

Mumford & Sons on Hiatus 'For The Foreseeable Future.'

Posted Monday, September 23rd 2013 @ 11am
Mumford & Sons wrapped up their 'Full English Tour' in Bonner Springs, Kansas on Friday but the band has no plans to jump right into the studio or another tour. Late last week, Keyboardist Ben Lovett spoke candidly with Rolling Stone about the band's need to shed the commitments and pressure of a big arena tour and just take some time to hang out:
"There won’t be any Mumford & Sons activities for the foreseeable future following Friday's show...we're going to take a considerable amount of time off and just go back to hanging out and having no commitments or pressure or anything like that."
In what might be the band's last official correspondence for some time, they took to their website this morning to share a 'post-tour mesage' for fans:
"Well thank you everybody, once again, for an incredible tour. We cannot begin to tell you how much we love what we do and how lucky we feel that we’ve got to spend these past 6 years touring around the World, playing our songs to good people who have supported us the way that you do. Much Love! Ben, Marcus, Win & Ted"

They should take that time to learn how to write songs that don't all sound the same.

They're going to do some market research across the London circuit (ask their friends what they're into now) and then reform and play that.

Re: Mumford & Sons
i just heard a song of theirs for the first time (Roll Away Your Stone) and I liked it. Is this a band worth listening to? The first page said no, but then some of the defenders showed up.

Re: Mumford & Sons
The first album, yes. The second album is pretty much more of the same, and not half as good.stip wrote:i just heard a song of theirs for the first time (Roll Away Your Stone) and I liked it. Is this a band worth listening to? The first page said no, but then some of the defenders showed up.
