I don't have much of an opinion on her one way or the other. Not feeling it.
You should listen to her earlier albums. They have a lot more personality.

I'm getting the impression that t2b prefers her earlier albums

The comments about the guitarist are pretty funny.

Only heard her latest album. It had moments. Way too bland overall. Bit like country Dido.

Kacey Musgraves is amazing. She' quickly becoming one of my favorite artists and I still haven't even heard all of her first record.

definitely check it out. it's probably my favorite. like most debut albums, it's less produced (not to say it's gritty whatsoever, but compared to her latest) and has more of a singer-songwriter feel to it.

I just don't like dump-consuming (that one's for you, b'snatch). I'm still really loving her second and third records. I want to wait to get to the first one for a bit longer. But I'll definitely check it out. 100%. She's amazing.

She was good last night, but she played too much of the (Grammy winning ) new stuff and the crowd was kinda belligerent.
I actually enjoyed Sophie (Soccer Mommy) more.

She'd be really great if she had triple D's

But more interesting to me was the song "High Horse" on SNL. I can't recall ever hearing a song that blended Country and Disco so perfectly and effectively. It was an amazing track and now I'm compelled by Ms Musgraves as an artist/performer.
Bottom line... I think I'm in love. This lady has something special and I'm looking forward to diving into her catalog.
I've been hearing "High Horse" at work a lot. Realized I was digging it, had to look it up. Had no idea who it was. Glad to see there's a thread on RM.

The new album has improved a bit with time, but it's still my least favorite of her albums. Still, this lady slays. I'm always happy when one of her songs comes on.
