My theory is Anakin can’t come back as force ghost cos he’s in the world between worlds and Ahsoka will end up in the lee with him.

Filoni has said he’s written the end for Ahsoka.

I can see her ending up with him in there

But he's already come back as a Force Ghost.... so....

There could also be rules we don't know about who can appear to whom. Maybe it's a Master/Apprentice only kind of thing? Could be a lot of reasons.

He appears in clone wars at some point l. Haven’t gotten to that part yet

But we've never seen a force ghost, "good" or "bad", appear in front of a Sith. Kylo isn't technically a Sith, but is as close as you can be. I'm not sure why they'd introduce a new force ghost aspect now

I don't remember if he appeared to Ahsoka or not. But he also showed up in weird places, much like the Darth Bane vision. I was never sure if he was really appearing, literally, or if it was more like a vision/hallucination thing.

But maybe, yeah. If so, then that pokes a hole in the "can only appear to an apprentice" thing, for sure.

But Kylo is also being pulled to the light. That's one of his major struggles.

Also, they'd introduce it now for the same reason they introduced Force Projecting or the attacking the enemy with hyperspace. Because it serves the story.

I don't mind seeing new things introduced. I think it expands the universe and keeps things fresh and fun. As long as the things introduced are consistent and don't totally retcon things, I'm pretty okay with them.

If Vader deserves a force ghost for not being an asshole for two seconds at the end of his life, I say everyone deserves a force ghost.

Just b/c you haven't seen everyone's force ghost, doesn't meant they don't have them.

If you go by the OT and TLJ, then the force ghost has only appeared to people the dead Jedi has interacted with before death.

Obi-Wan --> Luke
Yoda --> Luke
Obi-Wan, Yoda, Anakin ---> Luke (not interacting conversation-wise, but they were all looking at each other)

So to me, that's how it should work.

Also, if Anakin were to come back as a force ghost (sigh), then it should be old Anakin (Sebastian Shaw). I know he's dead, but since Darth Vader was older when he died and became Anakin again, than that's who it should be. Not Hayden (groan)

Honestly, at this point who cares. I think the PT with it's universe expansion does more damage to the Jedi mythos than anything else.

See though, you can't make the argument that because it's happened this way then it should stay that way with one thing and not the other. It might be dumb that Lucas changed Anakin to Hayden as a Force Ghost. But that's the way it is. So it SHOULD stay that way if he's going to appear.

But I also, again, don't have a problem expanding the rules. Just because we haven't seen it yet, doesn't mean it can't appear. I'm all about Anakin appearing to Kylo, as long as it makes sense in the story and isn't just shoehorned in for the sake of it.

What do you want to see? Anakin being the puppetmaster for Kylo? Something else? Anakin being divided in two force ghosts?
