Negative pressure cases blow my mind.

I built my last PC in a wide-open case with tons of airflow.

My buddy built the same PC, but in a NZXT case with a tiny vent at the front.

His thermals are way better than mine.

I guess I get it... his case pulls fresh air in and mine basically lets all the air just linger, but still...

:?

Chuck some case fans front (in) and back (out) and push fresh air through.

Overclocked my monitor to 70 MHz.

It actually makes a noticeable difference in games.

It has me drooling for a 144 MHz monitor now.

I have become an absolute fiend for fan reviews.

Upgrading in stages beginning this month with an SFX PSU and some Noctua ULN fans - the goal is to make the system completely silent and downsize to ITX.

Noctua fans are great, but that ugly brown color scheme is terrible. I prefer Be Quiet! fans.

Yeah, if I was building with looks in mind I'd go with Be Quiet! but I just want a little black box that's as unobtrusive and quiet as possible. Going to see if I can downsize to a small form factor case like the Ncase M1 and still keep it quiet.

If you need a cheap but solid monitor, I bought this one for my wife's office.

$110. 24" IPS display that overclocks to 90 MHZ and the color accuracy is actually pretty solid. Great for gaming and work stuff.

I'm actually thinking about getting one to replace my ASUS ProArt Display.

I'm looking at upgrading my rig, mostly so I can run Microsoft Flight Simulator without ever dropping a frame. Hopefully the wait times aren't too great on nabbing a Nvidia 3060, 70 or 80.

RTX 3080 specs:

CUDA Cores: 8,704
Boost Clock: 1.71GHz
VRAM: 10GB GDDR6X
Memory Interface: 320-bit
TDP: 320W
Required power connectors: 2 x PCIe 8-pin

Really wishing I bought a video card last year. I keep trying to win the Newegg shuffle lottery, but no luck.

So what’s the PC crowd’s impression of the SteamDeck? Seems like a good jumping-on point for an outsider like me.

What are some PC only games to make this worthwhile?

There are far fewer PC exclusives these days than 5-10 years ago. Unless you're really into strategy games -- which will no doubt be a nightmare to control on a handheld device anyway -- I'd give it a miss.

Just dropped 2k on a new PC since the company locked up my old one. Still need to get a graphics card and a new monitor. It's gonna be pretty sweet though.

I hope this isn't a bad idea.

Kinda regretting getting that i9-14900 after recent news about Intel. Sounds like they're about to tank.
