for whatever reason if im the tallest on our team id always play the middle in zone (yea yea yea...zone get over it)

but i was always talking letting people know where they needed to go and who needed to rotate. when you play with the same group of guys its easy to know their tendencies and where which spot they wanted to get to

I would love to get zone defense going but nobody is ever interested nor ever even talks about it.

Bump to remind me to tell you all a story when I get a chance to type it all out here.

This is the kind of story that I wouldn't tell in real life because it wouldn't exactly make me come off as "like-able" but since that ship has sailed at RM, here you go:

So at my weekly pickup game there are about 4-5 regulars that would be considered the best players. I've probably got 10 years on each of them at this point, give or take.

Anyway this past weekend, here are a couple of exchanges that I had with two of them (Reggie and Sean).

My team won our first two games, and then Reggie comes on next to play against us. He says to me "I see you out here gettin' all this money, and I gotta come stop you."

Reggie's team beat us by 1 point in that next game. Our last two possessions were turnovers by the same guy (one on a drive where his shot got blocked, the other on a lazy pass that was stolen), and after the game, Sean (who was on my team) told the guy "That drive is fine in the middle of the game, go ahead and be aggressive, but when it's game point and you got Curry or Durant that you can kick it out to, you gotta be smarter and make that pass." He being Durant and me being Curry.
