I know I was. Buying more items only led to me getting more upset. I feel this is unfair to the cashless class and a transparent attempt to line the pockets of credit card processing companies AND the Pepsi/Coke/Lays/Mars convenience store corporate behemoth. If you and your local bodega can agree, together, to fight the power, you should. This kid behind the counter was just doing his job as he was instructed to, but he needs to learn that life isn’t so black and white on either side of the counter. I feel bad for getting annoyed with him, but that’s as far as it goes.
