I can only see one kit though. And it's still clichéd.

It's as clichéd as putting a huge electric guitar on a rock album.

Who cares. It's a drum album, it has drums on the cover. It looks good.

Nobody cares. It does look good. It's just pointless forum chat.

This is the musical equivalent of three people sitting in a room and furiously masturbating on camera for 40 minutes, rarely lending each other a hand. In two 20-minute halves.

Yeah, I've heard this is a chore to listen to.

Probably. That's why I just bought it :-)

Then again I like listening to this just to clean my head out musically every once in a while.

It comes on strong in the first five minutes but then you acclimatise.

It's an all-drums album. There's really not much to say about it, I guess.

I found it difficult to get any further than that first five minutes, where every drummer is firing on all cylinders with ridiculous fills to the extent that overall it just sounds like a wall of white noise. You can't tell what each drummer is contributing, and it could be any drummers playing it. Going in, I want(ed) to be able to hear each drummer's different styles and identities contributing towards a whole. If I wanted to hear a messy jam session of three drummers just hitting the kit as fast as they can for as long as they can, I would just ring a couple of drummer friends and get the job done myself. I've voiced my opinions of Matt for long enough, but while listening to this I couldn't help thinking that if you took Matt's contribution at least (I can't speak of the other drummers) and isolated the track, it wouldn't be hugely interesting.
