im glad they arent doing the ¨passing the torch¨ bullshit on this one but it looks like we need to see every fucking hero depressed or something.
I wish they hadn't posted the twist in this blurb. Film ruined!E.H. Ruddock wrote:tree_ wrote:It starts with Mr. Anderson talking to a psychiatrist played by Neil Patrick Harris. He's describing these dreams he is having which are basically moments from the Matrix. He's unsure of who he is. He thinks he's delusional. He's middle aged. He has no idea that he's the savior of the universe or Neo. He just thinks he's crazy. So he meets Trinity and has no ideas who she is and they share a moment of dejevu which reawakens something in both of them and from there you get some footage of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II playing young Morpheus who is going in I assume to take Anderson out of the matrix and show him reality... It looks absolutely amazing and the action scenes look really cool... I'm not sure where they're going with this... it seems like it's kind of a remake of the first movie but with the twist that he's older now...

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

No, it ends with the machines and humans defeating the virus Agent Smith and agreeing to coexist. The machines will give the humans to opportunity to either stay in their brain world or be released to live for real.tree_ wrote:Doesn't it end with basically the world (matrix) ending and restarting? We learned it's all on a loop and there's been a gazillion Neos before him, and he's all part of the design? So this new movie is just another iteration? There has to be some kind of neat revelation about how something is different this time or something. Maybe he changes everything for the even better. I'm excited for something neat but mostly plan on being majorly let down. I mean, these are the dorks who made Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending. Chances are it will suck. But they also made Matrix 1 and Speed Racer, so there is hope. Fingers crossed, fuck faces.
oh yeah, well that's kinda cool... so I assume this is the original Neo in this one, who decided to live out the rest of his life in the Matrix, "blissfully" ignorant, until he isn't anymore. Maybe he has to reawaken in order to defeat a new virus? Boring... but wait, no... doesn't Neo sacrifice his life in order to kill Agent Smith? In that case, this must be a new iteration of the matrixE.H. Ruddock wrote:No, it ends with the machines and humans defeating the virus Agent Smith and agreeing to coexist. Since this movie was rumored, I’ve assumed that this Neo is the rogue “Smith-like” program this time around. Not necessarily evil, but not human either. It’s the easiest path to continuity.tree_ wrote:oh yeah, well that's kinda cool... so I assume this is the original Neo in this one, who decided to live out the rest of his life in the Matrix, "blissfully" ignorant, until he isn't anymore.
