My favorite Eagles songs were sung by Glenn Frey. He seemed like a first class dick but had that rare ability to be so endearingly.

And yeah, Frey was a top shelf douche. He is mesmerizingly shitty in certain parts of that documentary.

Dave Grohl is getting his Eagles tattoo as we speak.

Saw the Eagles a couple of years ago and it was awesome. RIP Glenn.

The Long Run and Hotel California are damn fine albums. Not liking the Eagles is a bit like not liking Dark Side of the Moon. I can understand personal tastes in not liking it/them but not the people who put it/them down as garbage.

The Eagles are fucking garbage.

I've never really understood the meme-level Eagles hatred. I like the few songs I've heard.

I mean, they didn't do anything groundbreaking, but it is still decent to listen to. I don't mind them at all.

i'm not an eagles hater, but an old friend (we were both huge pearl jam fans back in the day) posted this on facebook:

"Glenn Frey died. In my opinion, he was the greatest and most influential songwriter of all time. A sad day for musicians all over the world."

No, he has to be schticking. For the same reason I can't imagine anyone LOVING the eagles, i can't imagine why anyone would HATE them.

I don't know that it's hate, but I would actively avoid listening to them - to be it's just so bland.

This pretty much sums it up for me
