Kid who hadn't graduated high school on mind your manners. Missed a couple points but managed to keep that train running. Good for him. Amazing moment. Arena lost it. Very cool

He stood there aggressively holding the mic and just delivering. Eyes of a madman. The Eddie look. Tons of it. You know it.
This wasn't celebratory Pearl Jam. This was something to prove Pearl Jam. Mike was a possessed mic. And pic throwing mike. Running laps around the stage during state mic.
Stones guitar sounded great. Was worried about that.
And yes the drummers. Both. The "jam" was back in Pearl Jam. Stuverud rules. End of even flow jammed pit. Throw your hatred down outro was jammed out and ended awkwardly but it had more to do with the band lost in the music. Loose. Seeing where the song goes.
RVM middle section. Josh on drums. Short. Different than the past 14 years. But it made the built up hard and fast. Incredible.
Josh plays like Jack irons.
These guys are pushing 60 and they still play by emotion. It's fucking wonderful. Still raw. Still passionate. Sometimes it doesn't always reach a certain level you want but it's always real and In the moment.
Crazy Mary ruled. Josh on drums. It felt very ....Grinding. Groove. Hard hitting yet slow. (The outro jam). It left space for the band to build.
Fucking wonderful show. 30 years into this and they blew me away.
Ed sounded fantastic. FullL bodied. I'm sure playback will reveal current day Ed and that's fine. He was focused and delivered.
Incredible night.
No. I know this is your dream but nah they're with Matt.Birds in Hell wrote:Strat wrote:Also it's not all drummer stuff. Ed was moody as fuck. Something was going on. But he was focused. Do you think the cogs are turning in the other guys’ minds right now?
Kicking Matt out would seem incredibly harsh, but this really seems to have relit some kind of fire.
Interesting times.
Fucking so good. Major jack irons vibe. Love it. Stuverud is incredible. DamnWtOB? wrote:
Crazy how Pearl Jam with a rotating bunch of fill-in drummers sounds more like Pearl Jam than Pearl Jam have in years.WtOB? wrote:pretty great little slow-moving version of RVM.
I don't believe they'd ever cut Matt loose.Strat wrote: No. I know this is your dream but nah they're with Matt.
But like I said it's beyond the drummer thing. Really. Don't know how to explain it burned is focused. The band is right. They're excited to be playing again. It shows.
And he's lovin' it too. Awesome.dprival78 wrote:that jam.. rich killing it
