I liked the first one, even if the bad guys were too generic, and the story suffered from it towards the end. Saw it twice in the cinema (2d and 3d), and have seen it several times since. Been thirteen years though, a long time to wait for a sequel.

But, again, im more interested on Cameron coming back and the scope of this production, which seems so fucking bonkers im curious about.
The story im sure will be generic as much.

I never saw the first one and don't really even remember the hype for it. It didn't seem to make a big impact on the culture like other blockbusters.

The whole 3D thing in the 2000s is because of Avatar.

I saw a lot of them, specially back in the day. Avatar was one of them, and of course was the best because of how he shot it.
The dept of the backgrounds was incredible.

3d for Avatar was great, 3d as a phase where every blockbuster had it, was awful.
