I don't fully understand that meme because I haven't seen most of these movies and I haven't watched the trailer to this new one yet. But I will say this...

From the jump I have had zero interest in this franchise. Last year I watched 8 and was really REALLY impressed. With zero context I thought it was an outstanding action genre film that was wonderfully shot and full of heart and sublime action sequences. As such, I hope this one is also amazing. I hope the fans of this franchise are not let down. While I can't say I'm all in on this franchise, my interest ins piqued and I trust many of the people involved.

Hey LV, you know what is a bummer? I'm going to be in Denver the first week of May for work. We're missing seeing this together by two weeks. They need to push up the release date. (I'm also going to be in Denver March 5-11, FYI)

That is surprising. I was going to post this before I saw the news was already here:

«The release of the new Fast and Furious film has been pushed back by almost a year as the impact of the coronavirus outbreak hits Hollywood.

F9 was due out in May, but will now not reach cinemas until April 2021.

"It's become clear that it won't be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May,"a statement said on Twitter.

It follows delays to other films including James Bond's No Time To Die, A Quiet Place II and Peter Rabbit 2.«

Maybe this will give me enough time to watch the first eight movies.

I’ve been crying all day

A lot of us lost the opportunity to see PJ this spring and now LV can't experience F9 until next year. Can this week get any worse?

I get them doing this, but the thing that pisses me off is them saying it's for the safety of their fans as apposed to 'If we release it now - it's going to hurt our bottom dollar'

Given this new leaked image, putting it out now makes the most sense.
