That looks like a Villinueve film and I love it. I'm excited for this again. And was that Bautista? I like seeing him get work.

Watch the original. As flawed as it is, you'll appreciate the story

Boring and captivating is a good way to describe it.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Yeah, I admit to having a hangup about hunky A-listers taking me out of the sci-fi headspace. But maybe this casting will turn out to be spot-on.
Chalamet is hunky?

I’m really enjoying the book. It’s so dense and over complicates itself to start off with but then that eases off as you get into it. I am only about 200 pages on though.

But really enjoying it so far.

The book is really great to read twice, after you know the basic plot and aren't like "wtf" every five seconds it really is super enjoyable to go through again.

Also definitely read all the Appendices if they're in your version, they help understand things a lot.

I just found the appendices at the back of my book last night!! I love a good appendix I do.

Wish I’d known it was there to begin with but it was like clockwork orange. You pick up what they mean as you go without looking within whatever the conversation is about.

The entire arc of the main narrative that runs through Dune and its sequels is pretty stunning in its scope. The latter books tend to be a bit repetitive but it's thrilling to see the narrative adequately brought to an end.
