I guess this could go in the conspiracy thread, too: Sirhan Sirhan might be getting out!

Have to look into it more after work, but apparently there's a new theory on the identity of the Zodiac that's gaining traction: https://www.foxnews.com/us/cold-case-zo ... ied-murder

Just wrapped up season one of To Live and Die in LA, investigated by Neil Strauss. Strauss is a good narrator if a little emotional at times, and the story was compelling despite being
Spoiler: show
kind of open and shut.
Still, I feel like there are probably a lot better true crime stories out there and will be checking out a few mentioned in this thread. This one felt a little like a tabloid affair. None of the people in it really had any substance to them.

Mrs. Bam fkn LOVES the true crime genre. Basic bitch over here.

Anyway she is watching one about the Idaho students that were murdered.

Bryan Kohberger.

All I can think of is how they incentivize people like … if you do something like this you are guaranteed to be famous. It’s so fucked up.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

There's this guy in Massachusetts who was charged today with his wife's murder, and a big piece of evidence are his Google searches, which included:

How long before a body starts to smell
How to stop a body from decomposing
10 ways to dispose of a dead body if you really need to
How long for someone to be missing to inherit
How to throw away body parts
How long does DNA last
Can identification be made on partial remains
Can you be charged with murder without a body
Can you identify a body with broken teeth

There's a video of the prosecutor reading these searches with a slow zoom on the defendant's face, an HOW has no one added the Curb Your Enthusiasm music to it yet?

During the week between Xmas and new years I was with my fam at my BIL’s family cabin. They have a big tray of photos on the coffee table. In there was a memorial service handout. Nothing on it about the 20 y/o kid’s cause of death - which is usually a tip that it was either OD or suicide.

Turns out he was one of the 4 Idaho victims. Someone in the family knew him. CNN was at his funeral, which my BIL said was really not well received.

I haven’t tried this with any other paywall websites, but you can use incognito on a pc browser (and private on iPhone) to read the Seattle Times.

I think there will probably be a good book written about this Long Island serial killer written some day, and I look forward to it: https://apnews.com/article/long-island- ... b1dd20dc19

Crazy that he’s only connected to 4 of the 11 bodies found in that area.
