Does that still happen?
I figure the restaurant would have no preference. I guess if they do less delivery and the driver is a restaurant employee, they'd find other work for that person to do.

Yeah we only do delivery if it is direct from the restaurant. During COVID a lot of local restaurants have employed their wait staff as delivery drivers to keep them working

mostly delivery from the restaurant and pick up if its just a few blocks away
