This is a really smart album. Super personal. Sharp. Varied. Full of authenticity. There are shades of all their previous efforts present but it definitely picks up where they left off with Rubin 14 years ago. It's a wonderful evolutionary step that takes thoughtful backward glances.

My Best Friend's Wedding is pure Chicks. It's everything I adore about this band. That's the clear standout track for me. But honestly, I haven't heard a dud yet. I'm on track 8 right now, which is refreshing and bright in its sparsness.

I like that Jack Antonoff isn't overplaying his hand on this, so far.

I see they brought in a heap of top pop songwriters for this. Have they always done that?

Thought they wrote most everything before

Produced by Jack Antonoff, they are swinging for crossover appeal and this is not an artistic statement in any way at all. I love Jack Antonoff but he produces women for hits and that’s it. Nothing wrong with that, we all need mindless but great sounding pop music from time to time.

Oh totally. Was just interesting seeing people like Justin Trantor and Julia Micheals in most of the creds.
Had always just assumed they wrote their own music

Taking The Long Way (their last previous) is the first mostly written by them. Also had a team a songwriters, too.

But they've done a handful on each record.

Nah. They already had crossover appeal.

I fucked up the merge and I have no idea how. I was going to fix it but I didn't want Bammer to accuse me of doing some weird nefarious shit so I left it last night.

Also it was late when I noticed.
Tell me if you think this one sounds too far fetched: Changing someone else’s thread title without their permission
Wat
Durden is this a serious post?

It's serious in that I didn't understand it, yeah.
