Halloween is beautiful. Its sure helps that they are not playing with a crowd. Its super quiet and calm.

Re-listened to Stranger in the Alps this week and it's just as good. "You Missed My Heart" is also a hell of a closer.

I should listen to that one...and to that Connor album too.

I've never been able to get into BOCC or boygenius, despite also being a fan of Julian Baker.

What about Lucy Dacus?

Stranger in the Alps is really fucking good, for sure. But I'm impressed most with the title of that album. When I was in high school my friends and I thought that line from the tv edit of The Big Lebowski was hilarious.

boygenius is another i need to dive into. I listened once maybe and liked it, but didnt came back to it.

i don't think I like BOCC better than Phoebe's solo stuff (Punisher is probably better), but Dylan Thomas is definitely my favorite song that Phoebe has been involved in (and Conor too, for the record).

boygenius is still tops for me. But Punisher is a close second.

I prefer her up beat stuff and Punisher suffers from too many slower songs after track 3 or 4.

yeah, i agree that it gets too slow tempo at the middle. But the music is beautiful and haunting and sad so its ok with me. I really need to dive into the first one again.

boygenius...yeah, its cool. But i think i prefer Better...

fun fact: i put julien baker, phoebe bridgers, lucy dacus, and boy genius on the mix that i made for higgs back in january.

New Ep coming out next week. Its a vocals and string only versions of Punisher´s songs.

I gel with most of this album and some songs are growing on me, but it has yet to have that Twin Peaks lived in feel that SITA had with me.
