he does that thing that people who aren't very good pianists do, which is speed up and slow down on different parts of the song; I always find it distracting and that didn't change here

The Say Hi is right up Ed's alley and I'm trying to place what song it sounds like .

It's almost exactly this
Yes

I never bought any of these pricey 7" from 10c, do they come with a download too?

No. And for the record, the Deaf Charlie one came with a download of Something Real, but NOT a download of Sitting Around the House. I'm quite bitter.

If it wasn’t a benefit, this couldn’t stand, right? I’m not sure they’re even different songs.

"Norwegian Wood"
"4th Time Around"
"Say Hi"

The trilogy is complete

You can’t steal melodies from the band that sang When the Saints Go Marching In but called it I Saw Her Standing There.

I heard Say Hi on the Sirius channel last night. The chorus is catchy in a cute, kid song or even Cat Stevens kind of way. Without the story behind it the song would probably be cony.
Matter of Time obviously a bit more earnest and sounds like a fund raiser type song. Not necessarily a bad song though.
I wasn't aware of EB until I heard Ed talk about it last year; sounds like a horrific condition and I'm glad to see him & his family support the cause.

Matter of Time didn't do much for me on first listen. Maybe will be a grower, but felt like a BO'B production.

I can’t believe he didn’t produce an absolute classic for this charitable fundraising event

I dig these tunes for what they are. Matter of Time is a little precious lyrically. But I don't really mind. Say Hi is simple and catchy. I like them both just fine.

Oh man, I love the idea of Ed making a Cat Stevens record. If not, could he at least do a Tea for the Tillerman cover?
