I've had my Cintiq for about 8 years and its still going strong. It had a dead pixel when I bought it, which is usually a very bad sign, but I haven't had any problems with it. The driver updates are shitty sometimes, but I haven't had any trouble lately.
I've used everything from little Bamboos to the giant Cintiq HDs, and they are all pretty sturdy.
I guess the Wacom One is their new entry level Cintiq-like ones. Don't know much about it, but it's probably better than the one I use now.
But for most people, an iPad with Procreate would probably be plenty. Unless you want to run Photoshop, it probably has everything you need to play around with.

I like the Intuos tablets, but a lot of people find it weird to look at a monitor while you draw on the desk. I think most can get used to it in a couple weeks. They are actually better on my back. And they are cheap.epilogue wrote: What's the best entry level model?
