I got 15 minutes into "Violation", before any violence turns up; not *nearly* as clever as it thinks it is, and treats its only Black character as scenery

I'm all for rape-revenge stories but better ones exist

should we come up with a sick, bloody punishment for people who post about horror movies in the "what movies are you watching?" thread instead of in here?

I watched "Run" and I liked it a lot, I hope Kiera Allen goes on to do great things
I watched "Wrong Turn" and had fun at times but good lord, what a nonsensical mess; a lot of folk horror aesthetic in a story that honestly wasn't asking for it; plus the woke white guy whitesplaining American history to a Black guy, the Black guy staying with the Bad group because "these people SEE me" - ridiculous and borderline insulting

My wife and I really enjoyed Run. We watched Greta right after it and I kept getting annoyed thinking the girl in Run would get out of this easy. She kicked ass.

I had chills with Greta. Super intense.
Run was good yeah...the ending was cool....Wrong Turn was fun to me but also yeah, it could be a mixed bag.

Saw the first ep of Amazon Prime“s Them, and i liked it. I liked the production design, the acting, the overall look of the series. Im still on the fence with the story, well see what happens next.
Also saw Violation. Loved the framing, the photography and the casting. The lead actress is also one of the directors and she is marvelous...the movie itself is interesting enough. I like how the victim is also a predator herself. It does raises a lot of questions.
Super violent too.

my thoughts on "Them" are more mixed than they were immediately after viewing; I was kind of seduced by the incredibly high production values
I think there are people who definitely should see it, and people who won't be helped by seeing it
I just saw a trailer for "Fried Barry" and I'm excited for it; I'm missing my alien abduction media

The production design, art and overall looks of Them are great yeah. Who the fuck is Little Marvin anyway, he has two IMDB credits and its behind this huge production.
Im looking forward to see Honeydew!! Maybe tonight!!
