I would probably rank Constantine below Batman Returns. Just too much heaven and hell to sit naturally with Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman.

Looking into Stardust. I guess it was illustrated. The epub I read must have been missing the illustrations.

Magic is a big part of the DC universe.

Heaven and hell are not magic.

He enters and interacts with those worlds and beings through magic.

The alternate version of Superman II is far superior, much like with Justice League.

they cancelled two movies, New Gods and The Trench. Seems they will slowly, maybe come back to the snyderverse, without maybe doing JL2 right away...but if The Flash is a hit, i think Affleck's Batman will have a solo movie.

Also, they already said Pattison's Batman is on earth 2. Wtf.

Trench and New Gods always felt unlikely not surprised.

I thought New Gods was a done deal...they got Tom King and ava duvernay, darkseid was going to be featured, Marvel is doing Shazam, The Eternals...i mean it was a good choice.

The Trench was weird but had James Wan behind.

I was thinking New Gods would be cost prohibitive and Trench seemed a stretch as a feature unless they did a small $30 mil horror movie which I doubt they’d have the balls.

New Gods can have the same budget as any of the big DC films.

Im thinking they got cold feet with doing that movie.

Yeah cold feet cause of the cost. 250-300 million movies are gonna get super rare. Companies would rather fund multiple projects for their streaming platforms with that money. You have to do over a billion in the box office to make the cost of those tent pole movies to be worth it and unless the movie theaters return to pre-pandemic levels you can’t recoup costs. They aren’t gonna bet on the New Gods. I’m not even sure that Flash movie will happen.
