I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Two of the greatest movies of all time. One is more tight, and has the perfect feel. Two is epic, and De Niro steals every scene he is in.

1. Meryl Streep - Actor
2. Daniel Day Lewis - Actor
3. Fargo (1996) - 90's Movie
4. The Shining (1980) - 80's Movie
5. Punch Drunk Love (2002) - 2000's Movie
6. The Godfather (1972) - 70’s Movie
7. The Social Network (2010) - 2010’s Movie
8. The Great Escape (1963) - 60's Movie
9. David Fincher - Director

Vinyl Guy
1. Nicolas Cage - Actor
2. Martin Scorsese - Director
3. Kate Winslet - Actor
4. John Carpenter’s The Thing (1982) - 80's Movie
5. Pulp Fiction (1994) - 90's Movie
6. Apocalypse Now (1979) - 70’s Movie
7. Rosemary’s Baby (1968) - 60’s Movie
8. Miami Vice (2006) - 2000's Movie
9. Whiplash (2014) - 2010's Movie
Streep over Winslet (easy, but Winslet is solid)
DDL over Cage (easy)
The Godfather over Apocalypse Now (love both, but The Godfather is absolute top tier)
The Shining over The Thing (tight)
Fargo over Pulp Fiction (love both)
Punch Drunk Love over Miami Vice (easy)

Scorsese over Fincher (easy, but both are solid)
Rosemary’s Baby over The Great Escape (easy)
Whiplash over The Social Network (easy)

Three fairly easy wins for each, but I think tree_edges the close ones. Though I could hear an argument for Pulp Fiction and The Thing. If they both won, the whole result would change.

Just absurd. I don't believe in objectivity in art, but objectively absurd.

There would be no Fincher without Marty.

I agree with Mickey, Scorsese can be compared with his peers, Fincher need 10 more years of moviemaking at least.

Man, Marty has forgotten masterpieces like Silence, Kundun or the age of innocence.

And Miami Vice is a modern masterpiece. Not only in its story, characters and acting but also revolutionary on its digital approach.
