I was hardly aware of Paramore from 2007-2017. Then I heard Hard Times After Laughter is a gift a remarkable album. The so record are excellent as was well. Over Those Hills is a glorious.looking forward to a new album. Listing back over their catalog you can really hear the growth, they were kids who had some pretty cool influences. There are a few gems on each record., But in many ways After Laughter is kind of this version of Paramore's debut album. I get a very Talk Heads vibe on the new one.

Also could a drummer explain why I think Zack is so good. Who does he compare to stylistically. I always think of Mick Fleetwood when I hear his drumming or maybe sometimes Topper Headon

Yea, AL brought me in as a fan. I noticed I was digging Told You So when I'd hear it on the radio and didn't know who it was until I decided to look it up. I definitely didn't expect a whole album I really liked. There's been a couple pre-AL songs I've heard that I like, So Into You and and Ain't It Fun, but I haven't gone any further. About a year ago, maybe 2, I couldn't have named a single Paramore song or even recognize any, maaaaaaaybe Misery Business, but I'd be half guessing.

Instrumental is killer. Hayley's voice is on point as always. Lyrics are pretty shit, like something Matt Bellamy would write.

I like "The News" a lot, I would have preferred "This is Why" as an album track, I was annoyed and put off by it as the lead single when I was expecting TN (based on leaked clips)

It is amazing this is such a young band, they have been on the scene for 2 decades. They continue to grow and evolve in unexpected ways. The future is bright. After Laughter is a fantastic album. The News has me thinking this will be equally great.

I like The News better, but all three songs are very solid. I can't really think of a example of a band that evolved in this way it is actually remarkable.

yeah all three songs are really good; still waiting for one or two songs that scratch my emotional itch but I think we're in for a good album

Williams did the heavy lifting on After Laughter. I feel Farro and York are the stars of these three songs.

I really like Paramore but I get the impression that they have other songwriters help. Is that right?
