Twitter's influence with journalists and media sharing in general seems to give it more influence than it's user base would suggest, though Facebook is much bigger. News articles don't usually link to Facebook, and on the other side, articles seem to become viral through Twitter.
Facebook also got rid of its newsfeed a few years ago, and doesn't seem to want people sharing news on its site at all.

I don't know guys. I realize Twitter is influential and more news driven, but it's so much smaller.

How strong is google? They have an ISP, phones, servers, search, media... near complete vertical dominance. What are they missing? A bank? A military?
