I haven’t tried streaming a game on my Xbox, but game pass is all downloads onto your hard drive unless you decide to stream it I guess. I’ve streamed Xbox games to my phone with my backbone and it works better for some games than others.

On the One X I always had to download games, and everything worked fine, on and offline. Had ultimate gamepass for years.

Hey, that's good news! I'm a complete Xbox newb (never even held a controller going back to the original) so I'm pulling in as much data as I can.

I guess at this point I'm trying to decide what to do with this generation--I'm inclined to get a PS5 at some point since I'm paying into PS+ and getting games I can eventually play there, and I've always assumed I'd get the disc version, but now I'm weighing getting a Series X and then at some point just a PS5 digital.

You all have convinced me that a Series X is the way to go.

What's the best way to get one now? I've heard of this service where Microsoft will email you when one is available. Anyone try that? I'd love to buy it at Target for the 5% off, but I know waiting for a specific store might be murder.

Ha that's how I landed my Xbox, minus the praying. If it were me I'd be going after the PS5!

Good luck. Should be a good choice.

Still committed to a Series X when I get the cash, despite how tough it seems to secure one. I wish my bonus came through this week instead of the first week of March, since it looks like there's a WalMart Plus event next week, which I have.

I've actually seen the Series S on sale this past week!

After overcoming a few work-related obstacles, the USB microphones worked great on the Xbox One. It's a great choice if you're a gamer on a tight budget or a streamer trying to make your mark online. Even the extra parts you'll need are inexpensive at XXXX, so it's still more economical than buying a regular 3.5mm microphone.

Two weeks into trying to get a Series X and no luck yet. Just missed out on a Wal-Mart+ sale, and there really hasn't been much else since.

They still have PS5s in stock 50 minutes after the on-sale time. We have the subscription anyway (just $12 a month for free grocery delivery and 2-day shipping), but I don't know why more people aren't trying this way.

Got my Series X in the mail today, set up was a breeze. I stacked a couple of deals and got 6 months of Game Pass Ultimate for $32. Didn't have time to play tonight, but downloaded a few games and pre-loaded MLB The Show, will really fire it up soon.

Nice. I love the Xbox ecosystem. If you’re used to the PS controller, I imagine it’s a change, but I prefer offset sticks.

I recommend Psychonauts 2 on Gamepass if you didn’t play it already.

Yeah the controller is a weird change. I'm fine until I move my left thumb to the d-pad, because without looking at the controller, I have trouble finding the left stick again. I'm getting there.

It’s funny to me that this thread is simply called Xbox. No mention of Microsoft.

Whereas the other system threads are called Sony Playstation and Nintendo Switch.

I’ve owned various Xbox consoles, and never said the word Microsoft out loud in a conversation about them. I do use Nintendo and Sony (both of which I own) when talking about the other two consoles.
