I bought the Vitalogy vinyl the day it was released in 1994 :/
So did I. I had to go to my parents to listen to it, because I didn't have a record player.
jesus christ, I really am old

It actually happened about halfway through our 90 minute or so conversation. I've actually not even listened to the version Jorge edited down for publication here.

I just never listen to it. mind you, I like all the songs on it. but the studio versions are just....well let's just say i would skip past each song and listen only to tremor Christ and that weird whispy one. wait, is tremor Christ on this album?.
i hope my neighbor April listens to it

Thoughts on Vitalogy:
Immortality is the best. No wait, Corduroy is the best. Then again, maybe it is Tremor Christ. Or maybe it's Better Man... Or Last Exit... but Nothingman is great too... and Not for You... and I can't forget about Satan's Bed and Whipping...
And that's why Vitalogy is PJ's best album.

Immortality is my favorite. But I wouldn't particularly disagree with anyone that chose Last Exit, Corduroy, Tremor Christ, Nothingman, or Better Man.

Immortality is the easiest one to play... so it's my favorite, too.

I think Tremor Christ, Last Exit and Immortality are the three strongest songs on the record. Nothingman is super underrated and Corduroy is vastly overrated, in my humble opinion.
Probably something like...
Tremor Christ
Immortality
Last Exit
Nothingman
Not For You
Better Man
Aye Davanita
Satan's Bed
Whipping
Pry, To/Corduroy (I know they're separate songs but I always here them together; PT is such a perfect "intro" to Corduroy)
Spin the Black Circle
Stupid Mop
Bugs

Corduroy so low?
Tremor Christ
Last Exit
Immortality
Pry To/Corduroy
Whipping
Satans Bed
Not For You
Nothingman
Aye Davinita
STBC
Betterman
Bugs
Mop

I like Corduroy a lot. I always feel bad when I take what appears to be a stance against it. I'm not against it, by any means. It's a solid song that I enjoy the fuck out of. But I don't think it's the crown jewel of Pearl Jam. I don't think it's close to their best work or even their most representative work. It's good. It's not great. Vitalogy has so many songs that I think are just better.
I guess, I sort of feel about Corduroy the way many feel about In My Tree.

Yeah I get it. Only difference is Corduroy is great and IMT is not that great.

In My Tree is fucking fantastic.
I think Nothingman is actually my favorite in this album.
