Yeah I saw. Maybe the worst GD has ever been.

This is the best side drama of this whole affair, I think. The ramifications have not been fully grasped yet.

Exactly my thought too. That April fools joke really backfired.

Let me see if I can remember what happened.

I moved Bammer into the category with the Mod Forum and moved a few threads into Garbage Dump. No problems there.

Then, when I deleted it, Garbage Dump, Archive, and Chat moved under the Mod Forum and the mods couldn't see them on their Board Index, like you can't see "GD?" now. Why that happened, I have no idea. The Bammer Forum was nowhere near that stuff.

But! None of that was visible in the Forum set-up. It was only when you visited RM that you could see the screwiness. So, I couldn't move things back to where they belonged, because according to the control panel, they already WERE where they belonged.

That's when I tried making new forums and copying permissions around, trying to create a new visible forum or category where I could put this stuff. I created a forum called Garbage Dump II, but according to the logs, all I did was rename Garbage Dump. Strange, because there is a "Create New Forum" button, which I used.

Anyhow, when I gave up and decided to call in Sarge, I deleted Garbage Dump II, which unbeknownst to me, was Garbage Dump, and that left us with "GD?," which the mods could not see on our Board Index.

Sarge came and cleaned up a bit. We thought we were good because we could all see "GD?" on our Board Index. Then you all started complaining that you couldn't see "GD?" anymore. We're calling Sarge back in, but RM has been taking a backseat to his real life, so he comes and helps when he can, and I'm sure when he gets here, he'll fix it.

Do you think maybe some other RMer who isn't currently a mod possesses similar technical prowess to Sarge? Since he's so busy, why not recruit?
