i dont go in to costco anymore, i order same-day delivery via the app

i went once in person like a couple months ago. it's a schlep and the parking lot alone is brutal

was heading to target this afternoon, then for some reason, suggested costco instead. unexpectedly, the wife was up for it. what a shit show; their massive shopping carts can block entire aisles. on the way out, some guy flat tired me with his cart which always feels great.

My oldest son just started working at Costco yesterday. Huge pay bump from Kohl’s. I hope he can continue to work there for the next couple years while he takes classes at community college and figures out what he wants to do.

The Utz Pub Mix is a massive disappointment. Way too many pretzel sticks and almost no flavor. Even while slightly drunk, it tastes like shit.

recently attempted their bagged organic mediterranean salad. had avoided forever bc the notion of a bagged salad from costco eeked me out, but i needed veg - and it was actually pretty tasty

Yesterday, after picking up the kid from a birthday party, we stumbled across the recently opened Wendy’s, the first in this part of the country. It was lunchtime, so we did what we had to do.

Then it was off to Costco to open a membership and drop $500 on crap.

Quite the American heritage day for this ex-pat.

I also went back to a different Costco today, since yesterday was the usual Sunday shit show. Took my time seeing what they had with no kid in tow either. Pretty much the same deal as US Costco. They even had Johnsonville brats.

Costco has the 22” gas tabletop Blackstone griddle for less than $300 Australian dollars. I have my eye on it.
