These diatribes ought to be expected from someone who has spent the past few years of my commutes entering the mind of the super fan of various bands by experiencing their catalogue in chronological order and chronicling the experience note by note. I’m bound to make some attachments.

Yeah, I get it.
I've owned a bunch of Pavement albums, seen them live once, but I still don't like them very much at all.
They were so important to many of my friends and I tried very hard to see the appeal.

Pavement is wild to me because there are a ton of bands I had to put some work into before I really got it (My Bloody Valentine, The Knife) but I was hooked on Pavement by the second track of Crooked Rain Crooked Rain

I got into the Pumpkins in '01 and they're probably my favorite band of all time.
Billy's voice is just super polarizing. I don't think it's much deeper than that.
