Just finished the first season. Do I need to spoiler my thoughts or are we speaking freely?

share them freely, that season happened like a year agowease wrote:Just finished the first season. Do I need to spoiler my thoughts or are we speaking freely?
Indeed.Ello Sailor wrote:Just finished S1. Some interesting social commentary here, especially with Olivia's constant virtue signalling from a position of considerable privilege. Lot of that around!
Oh, I totally agree with you.Ello Sailor wrote:The execution for Quinn staying was unrealistic, but his motives for doing so weren't. He's young, painfully naive, and was enjoying a sense of brotherhood he likely hadn't experienced before.
Oh, I thought you had issues with his motives. I don't really see how ditching wealthy parents would be harder than, say, middle class parents.wease wrote:Oh, I totally agree with you.Ello Sailor wrote:The execution for Quinn staying was unrealistic, but his motives for doing so weren't. Well number one, they probably flew first class and would notice if he didn’t get on the fucking plane. Number two, it would be much easier for them to go right back and get him once they landed if they only noticed he wasn’t with them when they landed. They would just have more resources was all I was getting at.Ello Sailor wrote:Oh, I thought you had issues with his motives. Yeah, he was my other favorite part of the show. His spiral into madness was brilliantly done.Ello Sailor wrote:And Armond was great, obviously. Murray Bartlett has chops. We need more Aussies in 'murican shows.
Even if they flew coach, they would have noticed he wasn't on the fucking plane. He also likely went straight to the beach. Regardless, that ending scene didn't indicate how much time had elapsed.wease wrote:Well number one, they probably flew first class and would notice if he didn’t get on the fucking plane. It definitely wasn’t like leaving a 10yo kid by himself for the holidays.Ello Sailor wrote:Even if they flew coach, they would have noticed he wasn't on the fucking plane.
